Louis James "Louie" Vogel, 43, of New Bern, passed away on Monday, August 29, 2022. Louie will be remembered as a kind, loving person who enjoyed life and making others laugh. He was a true outdoorsman and loved fishing, boating, surfing, camping and hiking. Louie was also a master craftsman in woodworking and had the ability to make or fix just about anything. He has left an indelible impression on his family and all he knew and will surely be missed.
Louie is survived by his loving family which includes his parents, William and Dorothy Vogel; his brother, Billy Vogel; and his daughter, Madelyn Nicole Vogel.
A memorial service will be held at 3 p.m. on Sunday, September 4, 2022 at New Covenant Church.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Louie's memory to New Covenant Church, 1212 Fulcher Lane, New Bern, NC 28560.
