Lucille Ann Thomas, 71, of New Bern formerly of Bronx, NY died June 27, 2014 at CarolinaEast Medical Center and heaven received another angel.

She is predeceased by her parents Louis and Lucy Merola and brothers Gerald and Bruce Merola.

A Memorial Mass will be held at St. Paul’s Church Tuesday, July 1, 2014 at 10:00am. She is survived by her husband, Ernest J. Thomas ;three sons and their wives, Greg and Lisa Thomas, Jeff and Gina Thomas, Matt and Theresa Thomas; step mother Amelia Merola; brothers Richard Merola and Chris Merola ; grandchildren, Nichole, Alexandria and Daniel.

Those who knew her knew that her love for people was evident in all that she did as a red hatter, member of the G.O.P. and a state appointed Guardian Ad Litem. She will be missed not only by her family, but the many lives that she touched on this earth. May you rest in peace mom until we see you again.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to St. Pauls’ Catholic Church, 3005 Country Club Road, New Bern, NC 28560.
