Peg was a fine lady. She loved working with New Berns historical society, the church and other town local organization as well. Peg brought a special grace to all. Peg came into my fathers life after a difficult time for him and our family. She gave him comfort and they really both enjoyed each other’s company through their travels around New Bern and beyond. My dad affectionately called her Gert!

Very sad to learn of Peg's passing. She brought much joy to my Grandfather in their later years of marriage. They shared a wonderful life and loving home. I will cherish my memories of our time together.
