

Margaret was known for her strong spirit and unforgettable personality. She was truly a force to be reckoned with, yet she had an open heart and never hesitated to show how deeply she cared for those around her. Her warmth, honesty, and fierce love for her family left a lasting impression on everyone who knew her.
Her greatest joy in life was her family. She was a devoted wife, a loving mother, and a wonderful grandmother who cherished every moment spent with her grandchildren. Margaret was the proud grandmother of seven grandchildren, each of whom held a special place in her heart. Her love, laughter, and guidance will continue to live on in their hearts.
She is survived by her husband, John Grant of Dover; her daughter, Melissa Mills (Ladonta) of New Bern; her sons, Doug Taylor of South Carolina and Michael Hudgins of South Carolina; her siblings, Jimmy Branton (Shirley) of New Bern, Thomas Branton of New Bern, Jerry Branton of New Bern, Lucius Branton (Vicky) of New Bern, Brenda Pearson (Rick) of Macon, Georgia, and Kathy York (Frankie) of New Bern; her seven beloved grandchildren; and a large extended family of nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her father, Lucius Branton, and her mother, Margaret Arline Branton.
Margaret will be remembered for her strength, her open heart, and the deep love she shared so freely with family and friends. While she will be greatly missed, those who loved her take comfort in knowing her legacy of love will live on for generations.
