

Mr. Havener was born in Johnstown, PA. to Roy and Iva Havener. He was a graduate of Richland Area High School and obtained a degree in psychology from the University of Pittsburgh.
He worked for Westinghouse Air Brake for 5 years before returning to Johnstown to work for Crown American Hotels, where he was employed 25 years before retiring in 1998 as president of the company.
Mr. Havener was a humble man who loved the Lord and his family. He was an avid tennis player and golfer.
Preceded in death by daughter, Colleen Marie Havener and parents Roy Ellsworth Havener and Iva Marie (Yeager) Havener.
He was married to his best friend Bonnie Louise (Constable) Havener for 58 years. He is survived by sons Gregory Roy (husband of Rachel) and Timothy Jay (husband of Angelica), grandchildren Crispin, Ian, Kinsey, Kevin, Gabriella, Abigail, Isaac and Nolan, great-granddaughter Daphne and sister Sylvia (Havener) Bruce (wife of Doug).
A memorial service will be held at The Journey Church of Western Pennsylvania 220 Maple Ave. Johnstown, PA. at 6:00 on Sunday, November 19, 2023. The service will be officiated by Pastor Ray Streets, Jr.
