She graduated from Hampton High School. She was a member of Peace Episcopal Church and a member of the church vestry. Martha was the manager of purchasing at BASF and retired after 44 years of service. She was a member and past president of the Lions Club, a past member of the Newcomers Club and a past board member of Taberna Homeowners Association.
She is survived by her niece, Cheryl Barton and husband Steve of Providence Forge, VA; two great nephews, four great nieces and their families and her beloved friend, Judy Johnson of Anderson, SC.
A memorial service will be held at 2:00 pm Sunday, December 18, 2011 at Peace Episcopal Church.
