He served his country in the U.S. Navy for 20 years and he retired from civil service at Cherry Point.
He is survived by four sons, Walter E. Jones of New Bern; Robert A. Jones of Fallriver, MA; John J. Jones of North Dartmouth, MA; and Marvin Olo Jones, III of Fallriver, MA; one daughter, Muriel Jones of New Bedford, MA; seven grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
Services will be held at 10:00 am Wednesday, June 27, 2012 at Cotten Chapel. Burial will follow at Greenleaf Memorial Park. Visitation will be held from 6:00-8:00 pm Tuesday, June 26, 2012 at Cotten.
