She leaves behind her husband Robert B. “Bob”. Bruggeworth and her children, Robert A “Bob” Bruggeworth and wife Michelle, Dr. Scott Bruggeworth and wife Annika, and James “Jim” Bruggeworth and wife, Ann, she is also survived by her sisters, Kay Wertz Massetti and husband Wayne and Betty Knapp and husband Larry, sister-in-law, Anne Hunter as well as seven grandchildren, nephews, G .B. Wertz, and Jeff Wertz and niece, Jennifer Garey.
In lieu of flowers, memorials in her name may be sent to Bridgeton United Methodist Church 510 B St, Bridgeton, NC 28519 or Crystal Coast Hospice at PO Box 640, Newport, NC 28570. There will be a Celebration of Life held at a later date.
