Mary Elizabeth Deblasio

Born and raised in New Jersey, she was employed by Baxter Hospital Supply for over 20 years before taking early retirement to move to New Bern, North Carolina where she ran a small business with her partner Chris.

Mary had a great love of animals and was active for many years with the local humane society; volunteering, fundraising and fostering dogs and cats.

Mary was preceded in death by her parents, William and Dorothy Erkelenz, her former husband and close friend, Ronald DeBlasio and son-in-law John Martinez.

She is survived by her partner of 30 years, Chris Corbitt, daughters Amy (Tracy) Martinez-Caroon of New Bern, Christine (Derik) Moore of Philadelphia, PA, Brothers Bill (Judy) Erkelenz of Maryland, Peter (Maggie) Erkelenz of Ohio, sister Sue (Pat) Agoglia of New Jersey Beloved grandchildren Shawnee (Bekah) Martinez and Dylan Martinez, as well as one niece and five nephews.
