Mary Hill Jarvis

Mary was born in Beaufort County, NC and she was a member of Highland Park Christian Church. She was a homemaker and devoted her life to her family, friends and church. She raised four children, while her husband served our country. A lover of all things beautiful, she took great delight in God's bounty. Throughout her life, she maintained a sweet and simple demeanor that won the hearts and trust of many. Mary is preceded in death by her parents, John and Mamie Hill, her loving husband of 59 years, George Roland Jarvis and a grandson, John Pumphrey, Sr.

She is survived by her son, Ronnie Jarvis and wife Nicole of Lakeland, FL; three daughters, Judy Pelt and husband Jerry of Fremont, NC; Deborah Pumphrey and husband Kenny of Memphis, TN; Patricia Godbold and husband Jim of Marion, SC; one brother, Gerald Hill, her grandchildren, David, Pauline, Beth, Brandon, Elliott and Trish, great grandchildren, John, Faith, Timothy, Emma, Regan, Kali and Beth.

Visitation will be held at 1:00 pm Thursday, April 25, 2013 at Cotten Funeral Home, followed by her funeral service at 2:00 pm. Burial will follow at Greenleaf Memorial Park.
