He was a member of Heart 4 Worship Church. He graduated from West Craven High School in 1988 and furthered his education by going to Wayne Community College and getting a degree in Forestry. Michael was an avid outdoorsman enjoying hunting and fishing.
He is survived by his wife, Deborah Register; parents, Rev. Mike and Myrtle Register; sons, Aaron Register of Alabama and Andrew Register of the home; sister, Sherry Halstead(Billy) of Cove City, Nephew, Matthew Halstead (Anna); great nephew , Sebastian.
The family will receive friends 5:00pm Saturday, August 15, 2020 at Clarks United Methodist Church followed by a memorial service at 6:00pm.
