Michael John Tagert

Michael was a loving father, passionate about creating adventurous experiences with his beautiful children who were the center of his universe. Nothing made him light up more than planning his next trip or excursion with them. Michael had a magnetic smile and contagious laugh that made everyone immediately attracted to him and feel as if they were his best friend. He was an avid golfer, trivia guru, movie buff, lover of all genres of music and a loyal Denver sports enthusiast. Collector of DC Comics, NECA TMNT, and other 80’s icons. Michael enjoyed his fur children, Honey, Jake and Penny and was in the process of training them how to retrieve his lost golf balls. Michael had dedicated over 20 years to a sales-centric career, most recently thriving with success at Salary.com.

Survived by daughter Zoey (10), son Jayce (8), Tiffany Flood (Fiance), Catherine Maestas (Mother), Rick Maestas, (Step Father) James Tagert (Brother), Bert Tagert (Uncle), Erlinda Chavez (Grandmother), Vera Tagert (Grandmother), as well as numerous family members and close friends. Michael was loved by so many.

He is predeceased by John Tagert (Father) former Colorado Springs Chief of Police, John Chavez (Grandfather) and Charles Tagert (Grandfather).

A Celebration of Life service is Monday October 30, 2023 at 2pm at Cotten’s Funeral Home. For those unable to attend, there will be a zoom option, link to access will be provided prior to service.
