Michael Wieczerzak, also known as Mr. Mike, 91, passed away Tuesday the 3rd of May at Brookdale Senior Living Center located in Greensboro N.C. Mike was a long time resident of Havelock after a 21 year career in the US Marine Corps.
He is survived by his daughters Madeleine Scoggins (Tom) of The Villages Florida and Irene Smith (Mike) of Greensboro N.C., two granddaughters (Stephanie Kalamaras and Vickie Young) and three great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife of 46 years Veronica and son Frank.
Visitation at the Cotten Funeral home on Monday the 9th of May from 5 to 7 PM. Graveside services with USMC honors will be held at Greenleaf Memorial Park on Tuesday the 10th of May at 11:00.
