Monica Lisa Davis Quinn

Monica Lisa Davis Quinn, 65, of New Bern, North Carolina, passed away peacefully on Saturday, May 2, 2026. Born and raised in New Bern, Monica spent her life rooted in the community she loved, dedicating herself to her family, her faith, and the people around her.

Monica gave many years of faithful service to Craven County Public Schools, where she served as both a bus driver and cafeteria worker. She was a familiar and beloved face to countless students, always showing up with a warm heart and a steady hand.

Those who knew Monica well knew that her kitchen was a place of love. She had a gift for baking that few could match, and her banana pudding and homemade yeast rolls were nothing short of legendary. More than anything, Monica treasured time spent with her family, and her granddaughter held an especially dear place in her heart.

Monica was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Henry Louis Quinn.

Monica is survived by her sons, Deangelo Quinn of New Bern and Marcus Quinn (Nyriah Lockett) of Ernul; her granddaughter, Na'Liyah Quinn; two brothers, Kelvin Davis of Mt. Holly, North Carolina and Geino Joyner; and two sisters, Denise Joyner and Wanda Joyner, both of New Bern.
