He served his country in the U.S. Army.
He is survived by two brothers, William Henry Buie and wife Kay of Phoenix, AZ; Charles M. Buie and wife Flora of Concord, NC; and four nephews, Michael Buie of Phoenix, AZ; Charles J. Buie and wife Natalie, Jeffrey Buie and Chadwick Buie and wife Rea, all of Concord, NC.
Services will be held at 2:00 pm Sunday, June 3, 2012 at Cotten Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be held at Cedar Grove Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 6:00-8:00 pm Saturday, June 2, 2012 at the funeral home.
