Nicholas Adam Hyduke III, of Oriental, North Carolina, passed away on June 12, 2026. He was a devoted educator and school administrator whose career in education touched the lives of many students, families, and colleagues. At the time of his passing, he was enjoying his retirement.
Nicholas was known not only for his dedication to education but also for his love of the outdoors and music. An avid fisherman, he found peace and joy on the water, and he was also a passionate musician who shared his talents with those around him.
He was preceded in death by his brother, David “Brick” Hyduke, and his sister, Phyllis Hyduke Lobo.
He is survived by his wife, Cristy Hyduke; his sons, Joseph Michael Hyduke and Nicholas Adam Hyduke IV; his brothers, Joe Hyduke (Martha) and Mike Hyduke (Beth); his sister, Marlow Harrington; and his sister-in-law, Jennifer Hyduke.
A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
