I did not know Pat for very long. I met her and her husband at Snooks Bayside in Key Largo. She was a warm, lovely woman and we made friends easily. Included is a picture of the cooking shawl that she made for me (you wear it while cooking). I was so touched by her kind gesture. I use the item almost daily and keep it displayed, and I keep her beautiful memory alive in my home.

I am so very, very sorry to hear of the loss of Pat. I didn’t know her well, only through water aerobics along with Mary and Joan and  trivia at Blackbeards but what a nice lady. I hold you all in my thoughts and prayers.

One of my most favorite people who brought sunshine with her wherever she went. A truly great lady , a wife , mom  and grandma and a creator of wedding bouquets and centerpiece s who made my daughter’s wedding day a beautiful event…I will miss you my friend, God  Bless you and keep you until we meet again ..

We’ve shared lots of laughs & lots of fun moments! You will be forever missed in our lives,  but always in our hearts.

Mom is my biggest cheerleader. She always loved and supported me even when times were hard for us. We had our disagreements because it turns out I am a lot like her. I just didn’t realize it until I had Maximus. Having him brought us closer than I ever thought possible. She was on the sidelines of almost every triathlon and marathon. She stood by my side when my husband passed, then again at the golf outings, there was several trips to Disney, graduations, trials and tribulations, but still always she stood right by my side. 
It was my honor to be by her side these last few visits to New Bern and then again during her hardest moments. She gave me many beautiful memories these last few years in her new home in NC. 
She has been an amazing grandmother to my son. Spoiling him and loving on him, while still giving him gentle corrections and that tough love I had grown up with. She is the perfect mix of her Mother and father and I saw both my grandparents through her words and her actions. 
Mom is a fighter, a strong beautiful confident, strong willed individual who told you how it was no matter how much it might hurt. I am blessed God saw fit to have you guide my life’s path. You will continue to be my guiding light, who shines her light to help direct my steps in love and in God. I love you with all my heart.

Hearing of Pat’s passing brought tremendous sadness to my heart, but also revived cherished memories of time spent with my long time friend. My photos are in disarray, but coincidentally a few weeks ago I was going through a folder of old stuff and  out fell Pat and Frank’s wedding photo. So after all these years, that photo was sitting atop my bedroom dresser when I heard the sad news about Pat. We shared so much during those special years, planning weddings, and especially starting our families. We enjoyed vacation time together in Maine when our girls were little ones. But it’s the everyday friendship that we often take for granted when we’re young, that floods my memories now.  I remember Pat coming over to our Bethpage house, and she would give me an impromptu haircut (she always carried her scissors in her purse). She would not take payment, and I was doing a lot of sewing at the time, so I would hem her slacks or make her a simple maternity blouse.  We called it our “barter system” but nobody kept count. Our whole friend group was simply there for one another. Pat and Frank were so inseparable that we often called them “Frat and Pank”, and it hurts me deeply to think of Frank’s pain at this time. I send my deepest condolences to him and all the loved ones who mourn Pat’s loss. Such a special person will be greatly missed.

What’s can I say about mom Channing. She was the first person who let me call her “mom” besides my own mother. She always had a smile on her face and she would make you feel like you were the funniest person in the world. Her house back in NY was always open doors to all Melissa’s & Greg’s friends without question. 

Mom Channing, Thank you for creating the human being that I proudly get to call my best friend. Melissa brings so much joy and happiness into my life, and I know that she wouldn't be able to do that without of having an amazing mom like you as a such a positive influence in her life. You will be missed dearly.

I’m so sorry for your loss.   Got to know Pat the past couple of years.  We met and painted together at Accidental Artist.   Sweet lady, I’ll miss seeing her creativity and our chats of family.    Prayers to her family.

It’s hard to pick just one memory of Pat , But I will always remember when I was around 13 . She would take me shopping. It was like having the sister  I always wanted. She had the best laugh and sense of humor. I will miss her sassiness.

There has never been a day where i  didn’t love being with you. We were attached by the hip since i can even recall having memories. I was truly your sidekick, we went EVERYWHERE together. YOU made me who i am today, (a slightly spoiled brat) but also a strong woman  who never backs down, matter of fact she pushes even harder. You made me feel that my dreams aren’t just dreams, they are going to be my accomplishments. My #1 supporter always. I really don’t know how i’m gonna do all of our little things together without you, but i know you aren’t gonna let me stop because i have to do it alone. (especially our pedicure dates). You’ll be there pointing everything out, and leading my path like you always have. You’re my sun, moon, and stars. You will forever be my sunshine, my WORLD, my best friend. To Pat, our connection was immediate when we first met. I never imagined that my patient would become my friend. You never lost hope, and I told you to stay encouraged. As a new graduate nurse, it was heartwarming when you reached out to me and expressed your trust in me. Thank you, family, for allowing me to be part of your mother's story. Pat, rest in peace, I love you, friend.

If you're lucky in life you get the pleasure of meeting someone like Pat.  She was my biggest fan and I will greatly miss her smiling face, fun loving attitude and beautiful soul.  Praying God will bring comfort to the familys hearts and peace to their minds.

One of my most vivid memories of my mother, was a time with Aunt Adele and mom and myself. You see, I am the baby of that crew. So I didn’t have school when the other kids were off doing their thing- I was having the time of my life! The best was when they would clean the house- and if dancing on the ceiling came on, it was a dance party! Not really but Aunt Adele would dance with me and bounce me around and walk me on the ceiling. Or Kenny Rodgers… Dolly Parton! And I remember my mother’s smile. My Aunts smile. The laughter I remember thinking - young as I was- that this was mine- this was for me.  Or when we went to Maryland and Uncle Bill read me a story to bed (rarity itself) and mom, you came to check on me- and I don’t know how I knew it was you but I picked my head up- we caught eyes and I just smiled and you did too- and you told me to go back to bed but still came in to say goodnight or just check. From then till now, you always checked. I’ll be honest- there will never be a time I’m NOT looking for you or checking on you, mom. I love you. You’re my mother, compass, counselor, at times my warden… my roadblock, my tough love giver- but you’re also my best friend. My saving grace.  You are one of The reasons im  still standing.  Then there’s what you’ve become to my children. Your love was not ordinary, it was magical! I will always be grateful I got the chance to be by your side through this wild journey. Our memories shall not fade or be forgotten.  I love you

I always looked forward to my appointments with Pat. She was a proud wife, mother, and grandmother who carried herself with such warmth and grace. Our conversations were always a highlight for me, whether she was sharing stories about her latest craft projects or discussing a new Netflix show, especially anything involving good food. Pat had a special talent for appreciating the little things in life. She understood that these little things were, in fact, the big things that made life meaningful. I always felt uplifted after our time together. My deepest condolences to the family during these difficult times. She will be greatly missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her.

Our love and condolences to Pat’s loving family. We were the newest of next door neighbors who quickly became close friends/family. We had a lot of fun together and shared  great  memories. Pat was strong and courageous as she fought a good fight with her illness. She was determined to enjoy life with hope for the future. She loved  her family, her friends, and enjoyed her life. We will miss her sweet smile and cherish our memories until we meet again in heaven. 💕

I am so sad to hear of her passing! The Channing family was part of the Pepitone family! We have many memories from partying at the Moose Lodge, to camping on a mountain in PA to having weekly trips to Carvel “I’ll buy if you fly”.  Pat was my mom’s best friend.  Pat cut our hair, gave us perms and was there for any one of us whenever we needed.  My heart hurts that you are no longer with us. My deepest condolences to Frank, Melissa and Gregory and the rest of her family. Love you all and here if you need ANYTHING!

We are so sorry to hear this. Please know we are all thinking of you. Pat was my moms best friend and neighbor. We enjoyed many great times including going on a cruise, watching and cheering us on while playing mud volleyball. Having so many great times at the moose lodge.
