You were always there for me, miss you terribly

Hi Cousin Pat:

This is your cousin Joyce.  That's how we always started our conversations or our cards to one another thru the years. Yes, I have fond memories of all of us growing up in Astoria.  All of you lived right around the corner from me and all I had to do was walk right down the block and around the corner to be with "my family".  We had such a happy childhood, always some kind of birthday going on at your apartment, or Thanksgiving or Christmas.  I can remember one Christmas Eve, we were very young, laying on your bed in the front room, waiting for Santa Claus, and he came bounding down the stairs outside in the hall, yelling ho, ho, ho, Merry Christmas.  It was Lawrence all dressed up.  We were squealing and laughing with happiness.  We all had such a good time together.  Then as you got older, a nice young man from a few blocks away, Jimmy,  would also join in all the Fleming nonsense with Aunt Gladys right there to get in on the act.  We have been friends, all of us, forever. I miss you and will never forget you.  Love You and give my love to Jimmy and Kevin.

I have such great memories of Aunt Pat & Uncle Jimmy when I lived with them in their Centereach home. Remembering all the great times at the Baldwin home. I am sorry I never made it to NC, but talked on the phone.
Fred will miss his Birthday partner. You will be greatly missed. All my love to James & Laura. Also to Robert, Edward, Richard & Barbara. I love you Aunt Pat.

Pat will be remembered as one who always greeted you with a smile. She was a wonderful sister in-law, who together with Uncle Jim always went out of their way to make our visits to N.Carolina memorable. She was always ready to go shopping(when the men were golfing) and finding new places to visit or have lunch or dinner. We know that she is now in a better place with Jim and Kevin. All our love to Laura and James. God bless Pat & Jim.

Dear Patricia and Jimmy  ,  You were my gardian angels all thru my life. I dont have the words to express the gradatude  we have for both of you. I'm glad to have seen you both on my ride to n.c with Richard and JoAnn and also seeing Patricia at Rjs wedding. You will be missed ,Love and prayers.       LOVE ALWAYS EDWARD AND BETSY.

RIP Aunt Pat.  I was just thinking about when you lived in Centereach, so many years ago.  My mom would push the twins in the stroller, I would walk next to them ,with the dog following all of us! I remember the house on Picket lane and the fun we had in the pool.  I also remember the fun family times we had when you lived in Baldwin. There were so many family summer parties there . Wishing you peace and a joyful reunion.

Aunt Pat was always kind, caring, and loving. Her strength and devotion to her family were inspirational. 

I am so sad that she has left us too soon, and my prayers and love are with my cousins Laura and James, and with Bob and the rest of the family.

I had heard so many wonderful things about you before I even had the chance to meet you. I'm so glad that I was able to give you a big hug at our wedding. Thanks for making the trip back up to Astoria for me and RJ. We were thrilled when we heard you were coming! That will be the memory that I'll always have of you and I'm so thankful for it.

My dear Aunt Pat, I have so many memories of my childhood spending time with you and Uncle Jim.  I enjoyed my visits to North Carolina, and the time we got to spend together. Aunt Pat was a gentle soul. Always a smile and a kind word. I'll miss our frequent visits to the New Bern Chinese restaurant. Pretty darn good hot & sour if you ask me. Well, I just hope the Lowe's in heaven is 24 hours!

We were all so very lucky to have you in our lives and will miss you so much. I will forever cherish the memories of our past, especially coming down to visit you and Uncle Jim in New Bern. You opened up your home to us repeatedly with love and provided us with great meals and of course made sure this Opie had his fishing equipment. The thing that I have admired the most about you through the years is your strength. No matter what life threw at you, you persevered. You were always the first one to help and support us during the difficult times and we will never forget that. I was so happy that you were able to make it up for my wedding.

Thank you for being like a mother to my dad. I know that you were instrumental in helping to raise him and had so much to do with him becoming the great father he has been to Kerri and I. We love you always and forever!

James, Laura, Bob, Barbara, you will be in our thoughts and prayers during this most difficult time.  Pat must have shopped for everyone.  She also did shopping for difficult items that I was unable to find even if it took a catalog to locate it.  She will be missed by all of the Quaker Neck 9-holers. Rest in Peace my friend.

Pat was relentless if you mentioned trying to purchase something and couldn't find it.  She would find it.  When my son visited and was looking to buy a particular item (I'm not a shopper!)  He would call "Aunt Pat" his personal shopper.  They both loved to go downtown for events - not me!! So again they enjoyed each others company.  Pat will be sorely missed.  Ginnie Cotter

Aunt Pat was one of the kindest and gentlest people I've ever known. I have such fond memories of visiting Aunt Pat and Uncle Jimmy when we were children. Mom would pack us three boys up when summer arrived and off to New York we would go by train... We took a few days to visit Aunt Pat and Uncle Jimmy's family. They always accepted us with open arms and a wild handshake from Uncle Jim.

Aunt Pat was the kindest and sweetest loving Aunt. When my husband Ed and I lived in NC right down the street from Uncle Jim and Aunt Pat, Aunt Pat was my shopping buddy while our husbands played golf. All my aunts and uncles in NC took care of my sister, Helen, after she moved into our house in NC. I will never forget what they did for her and how my mind was at ease knowing they were there to watch over her. I know Aunt Pat and Uncle Jim have been reunited and are in each others arms for all eternity along with Kevin. Ed and I will miss them but know they are at peace. We all had so many wonderful memories of Myrtle Beach trips, Birthday lunches, and gatherings at Quaker Neck.  Pat was a very special part of all of those good times.  We will all miss her a lot.  Kay Larsen

I loved shopping with you (as I know you loved to do that) You were the most kind and loving person I know. Give our love to all our love ones that are with you now. My Mom-in-law Pat graciously welcomed me into the family, taught me how to make foolproof gravy and never treated me like an "in-law' but as a daughter. Despite living so far apart, Pat would make sure no holiday went unnoticed. She would ship little celebrations to her grandchildren, boxes of Halloween mugs that Pat had made, trinkets that she thought the kids would enjoy. Pat's strength and kindness will continue to inspire me. In our house we called Pat "the original St. Pat". The one and only.

You were a kind, strong woman. I hope you are with Uncle Jimmy and Kevin somewhere. I'm so sorry Laura and James for your loss. You are in our thoughts.

My Dishes I could not say Patricia when I was little it came out Dishes. That is where her name from me came about. You were a Mother to all 7 of us, always there when we needed you. Never complained about anything, and always putting someone else before you. You just kept give Love to everyone. You are the Strongest, most Loving and Giving person I ever knew. I am honored to have you as MY Dishes. 
I know you missed Jimmy, and Kevin, and now you are with them.

I'm going to miss you Aunt Pat. You were always so loving and nurturing. I was so happy to have seen you one last time for Thanksgiving. After all those years of you opening your home to everyone, I was extremely happy to open my home to you. You are so loved by everyone who knew you and will continue to live on in the people you touched with your spirit.

We will miss them. They were such a nice couple. They were committed to each other.
