Patricia Louise Stafford

She was born in Amsterdam, OH on October 3rd, 1941 and graduated from Steubenville High School, after which she moved to Washington, D.C. to work for the Census Bureau. It was there she met and married her late husband, Glen and raised her family. She moved to New Bern in 1994, where she was a member of the St. Paul Parish and the American Legion. She was a member of the local Red Hat Society, and loved spending her time tending to her garden and traveling.

She is preceded in death by her parents Helen and Frank Zychal; husband Derwood Glen Stafford; and sister Frances Sawka (Thomas).

She is survived by daughter Kirsten Jo Banks (Joshua) of Raleigh, NC; son Robert Carlton Stafford (Elissa) of Silver Spring, MD; grandchildren Christopher Stafford and Noe Stafford; her sister Clara Mihalovich (John) of Olathe, KS; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

Funeral mass will be at 11:00am, October 25, 2023 at St. Paul's Catholic Church. Family will receive friends from 6:00pm to 8:00pm Tuesday, October 24, 2023 at Cotten Funeral Home.

Memorial donations may be made to St. Paul Catholic Church Building Fund or flowers will be accepted.
