

Pat was born on April 25, 1939, in Tarboro, North Carolina, Edgecombe County, to the late Mr. and Mrs Christine Sawyer. She spent her childhood in Tarboro and later made New Bern her lifelong home.
She was predeceased by her beloved husband, Daniels Rex Williams. Pat is survived by her children Linwood Daniels, Michael Lupton, and Lori Lupton Kersey and husband Todd Kersey; as well as her bonus sons Daniel R. Williams Jr. and wife Tina of Boyd, Wisconsin and Warren F. Williams and wife Linda of New Bern. She was a proud grandmother to 13 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren.
She is also survived by her brothers Micky Sawyer, Kenneth “Tadpole” Sawyer, and Donnele Sawyer and his wife Judy, along with her sisters Naomi “Cookie” Telliho and husband Jim Telliho and Becky Sawyer Kight.
Pat graduated from cosmetology school in 1971 and worked for many years at Ann’s Hair Design before retiring in 1990. She loved her career and cherished the friendships she made along the way.
Pat was known for her love of travel, cooking, and spending time with her family and friends. She was a devoted member of Riverdale United Methodist Church, where she found comfort and community.
Her warmth, humor, and generosity touched everyone who knew her, and her memory will forever remain in the hearts of her loved ones.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Saturday October 18, 2025 at Cotten Funeral Home & Crematory, with interment following at Greenleaf Memorial Park. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Friends and family are invited to attend and celebrate her beautiful life.
