He is preceded in death by his wife Joan Ehlenger Morrone.
Raymond is survived by his son, Raymond Nicholas Morrone (Paula) of New Bern, daughter, Chris McClain (Larry) of Greenville, SC, four grandchildren, David Morrone, Daniel Morrone, Adam McClain (Bonnie), Brooke McClain (Mark), three great grandchildren, Jake Morrone, Rivers McClain, and Cash McClain.
Raymond served his country faithfully in the United States Navy during WWII. His career managing women’s garment manufacturing plants across the south spanned more than 40 years. After retiring at age 60, he moved to Sebring, FL. There he spent his time enjoying the game of golf. Joining the Sebring Country Club, becoming club champion and providing input on improvements to the club itself. Raymond will be remembered as a self-made man. Growing up as the youngest of 20 children, he was very family oriented and generous to many.
A private memorial service will be held at a later date.
