

Regina M. Corley, 90, of New Bern, passed away peacefully on March 6, 2025. Regina was born on August 8, 1934, in Jersey City, New Jersey, and led a life full of love, creativity, and adventure.
She was a proud graduate of Red Bank Catholic High School and went on to attend The Woods School in New York City. Regina later graduated from Marymount University in Arlington, Virginia, with an Associate’s Degree in Medical Technology after which she became a Bacteriologist. Her professional career included working for Trans World Airlines (TWA) and the American Gas Association, where she contributed greatly to her fields.
Regina’s love of travel took her all around the world, and she enjoyed meeting new people and experiencing different cultures. She enjoyed horseback riding and playing golf, Regina spent many hours on the green, enjoying the sport and the camaraderie it brought. She was also an accomplished artist, expressing her creativity through painting and working with clay. Her culinary talents were unparalleled, especially when it came to baking; she was known for making the best cakes. She also taught water aerobics in both Virginia and North Carolina, sharing her passion for health and wellness with others.
Regina was deeply loved by her family. She is survived by her sons, John Corley (Fran), William Corley (Melissa), and Chris Corley; and her beloved grandchildren, Sarah, Catherine, and Elizabeth.
A memorial service to celebrate her life will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, April 12, 2025, at St. Paul Catholic Church, with interment to follow at St. Joseph Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made to a charity of one’s choice.
