He is predeceased by his brothers Jay and George and two great-grandchildren.
He is survived by his wife Dorothy Davis Rothgeb; sons Dennis (Pam) Rothgeb of NC, Rick Rothgeb, Rex (Irene) Rothgeb, and Daniel Rothgeb , all of IN; daughters Sharon (Richard) Landrum of NC and Regina Dawn (Lenny) Shady of IN; sister Betty Mills of IN; 23 grandchildren; 52 great-grandchildren; 10 great-great-grandchildren; and a faithful companion Toby.

Memorial service will be 4 pm on Friday, October 13, 2017 at Cotten Funeral Home Chapel.
