Robert Dennis Lundgren Sr.

Robert Dennis “Bob” Lundgren Sr., 70, passed away peacefully on August 23, 2026, at his home in Havelock, North Carolina. He was born on September 25, 1955, to the late Jack Lundgren and Elizabeth Lundgren.

Bob was a kind-hearted and friendly man who never met a stranger. Although he struggled with alcoholism for much of his life, that struggle did not define the person he was. At his heart, Bob was a loving father, grandfather, brother, and friend who cherished the people in his life.

He loved spending time with his family, especially his children and grandchildren, and could often be found enjoying the outdoors or striking up a conversation with anyone he met. Bob was an avid football fan, with the Minnesota Vikings holding a special place in his heart. He had a genuine ability to make connections with people and will be remembered for his friendliness, his conversations, and the moments shared with those who knew and loved him.

Those left behind to honor and cherish Bob’s life and memory include his children, Robert “Bobby” Lundgren Jr. of Havelock, NC, and Bonnie Wyatt of Bridgewater, MA; his grandchildren, Keira and Jayce; his brother, David Lundgren and his wife, Susan Lundgren, of Hanson, MA; as well as many loving family members and close friends.

A Celebration of Life will be held in Massachusetts at a later date. Details will be announced when arrangements have been finalized.
