

Robert is survived by his wife, Barbara; his children, Georgeanne (Steven) Krieg, Debra (Roswell) Park, Lisa (Paul) Salerno and Alison (Benedict) Zuaro; his step children, Karen, Adrienne, Stephen, Suzanne and Peter; As well as 11 grandchildren and two great grandchildren. He is predeceased by his first wife Eleanor.
Robert was born in Queens, NY . He served as a medic for the US Army during the Korean War in which he was credited to helping save many lives. Returning home, he raised his four daughters with wife Eleanor, in Valley Stream, NY. He became an experienced lithographer, working for Charles Offset, which catered to many of New York’s major newspapers including the Daily News.
He was most proud of his next position as a member of New York’s local 3 IBEW. He was one of the many electricians to help complete the two original world trade towers in downtown Manhattan. His fondest memories were not from the actual work, but from the friends and family he made while spending countless hours on the job.
Bob, after retiring and marrying his wife Barbara, relocated to New Bern, NC. He was an avid golfer , fisherman and member of St. Paul’s Catholic Church. His love for his family, truck and lawn - along with his wonderful stories, will keep him alive within us forever.
A wake service is scheduled for 7:00 p.m. on Sunday June 10th, 2018 at Cotten funeral home - 2201 Neuse Blvd, New Bern, NC.
Mass and funeral at St. Paul’s Catholic Church, 3005 Country Club Road, New Bern, NC, on Monday June 11th, 2018 at 1:00 pm. Memorials may be made to St. Jude’s hospital or Roswell Park cancer institute.
