Robert "Brad" Bradford Welker

Robert B. Welker, 47, of Vanceboro, North Carolina passed away on April 16, 2025. He was a native of Craven County, North Carolina born to his late mother Mary Keevin Huffstetler and father Robert T. Welker "Bobby" and wife Karen.

Robert was a devoted husband of 25 years to his wife Melissa A Welker and a loving; protective father to our son, Ryan D. Andrews of Vanceboro, North Carolina and daughter Kristen N. Welker also of Vanceboro, North Carolina. Robert is survived by his sisters Brandi Welker of New Bern, North Carolina, Brittnee Robey and her husband Thomas Robey both of Salado, Texas. Robert had many nephews, nieces and cousins. Aunts and uncles he cared deeply for and will miss Robert.

Robert was well known for his exceptional mind and ability to excel in any field he put his mind to learning. He turned his love of cooking passed down through his family into a Culinary Arts Degree. His childhood hobby of learning everything he could about computers led to his current field in Computer Technology. To give one description of what he could do would undercut explaining everything.

Robert will be deeply missed by his loving wife, children, family, friends, and peers.

A casual Celebration of Life for Robert will be held at Cotten Funeral Home, 2201 Neuse Blvd., New Bern, NC 28560 on Thursday, May 8, 2025; from 4:30 PM to 6:30 PM. Flowers are welcomed to be sent to Cotten Funeral Home.
