Robert Edward Yarnell

Robert was a Corporal in the United States Army where he served five years as a paratrooper. He also was a scuba instructor in Daytona, Florida, was an avid fisherman, outdoorsman and enjoyed the water/ocean. He loved to tinker with mechanics and was a handyman.

He is preceded in death by his father Martin Allen Yarnell (USMC retired).

He is survived by his wife Nelli Yarnell; mother Betty Yarnell; son Robert Allen Yarnell; daughter Elizabeth Ann Yarnell; brother Martin Thomas Yarnell and wife, Caryn, of California; sister Dawn Hoshide and husband, Stuart, of Colorado; nieces Alexa and Michaela Yarnell of California; nephews Allen Hoshide and wife, Roxy, and Cody Hoshide and wife, Michelle, all of Colorado; two aunts Etta Daniel-Smith and husband, Walter, of New Bern and Faye Chamberlain and husband, Bruce, of Texas.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the family for their children’s education.

A memorial service will be 4:00 p.m. Thursday, September 3, 2015 at Croatan Church of Christ.
