

Rod attended Lamar High School in Houston, Texas. In 1956, Rod graduated from Southern Methodist University. Following graduation, Rod proudly served in the US Army for two years. When Rod returned home, he met the love of his life, Betty Carolyn (“B.C.”), in Dallas, Texas. A couple of years after they married, Rod and B.C. moved Winston-Salem, NC.
Rod gained national and international recognition in Banking, first as a Vice President at Wachovia National Bank, then setting out on his own with Newbury & Molinare, was featured in such Trade Magazines as Business Week. Rod was also a keen sailor, horseman and shooter, winning many State and National medals for Dressage Riding with his beloved horse Adam, and numerous medals at antique gun competitions as a member of the Guildford Grays.
He is survived by his sons, Bernard Molinare and Roderick Molinare.
Roderick is preceded in death by his loving wife, B.C.; daughter, Elizabeth; son, Brittan; brother, William Molinare; and sister, Charla Boteler.
A graveside service will be held on 13th May 2023. Rod will be laid to rest beside his wife, Betty Carolyn, and many family members at Catawba Memorial Park in Hickory.
