Ronald Martin Munyon

In his younger years, he loved to feel the wind in his hair while cruising on his motorcycle and was always known to enjoy a good whiskey. He loved to reminiscence about his boyhood on the farm and his dog Rover. He spent 40 years in the propane industry and served as President of the NC Propane Association. He lived in Arizona, Washington, and Raleigh before finally settling down in New Bern. He loved sitting on his back porch rain or shine.

Ron passed away on December 17 in New Bern after a long battle with a blood disorder. He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Christine, his son, Jason, his daughter in law, Christin and two grandchildren, Sophie and Ella. Known as “Grampa" he brought laughter and his unforgettable stories.

A service will be held at Cotten Funeral Home on Sunday, December 19, 2021 between 4 and 6pm. Cotten Funeral Home is honored to serve the family and friends of Ron Munyon.
