Ronnie Lee Andrews

Ronnie Lee Andrews, 60, of Vanceboro, joined the rest of his Heavenly family at 1:00 am on Thursday, May 16, 2019.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Johnny Ray and Sarah Frances Avery Andrews and his three siblings, William Ray Andrews, John Charles "Charlie" Andrews, and Sarah Ann Whitford; and his father-in-law, Richard T. Boyd Sr.

Ronnie is survived by his loving wife of 42 years, Sue Andrews; two daughters, Melissa Welker (Brad) and Megan Andrews; three grandchildren, Ryan Andrews, Kristen "Nikki" Welker, and Andrew McCausley; his "second mother" Helen Boyd; and numerous loving nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends from 1 to 2 p.m. Saturday, May 18, 2019 at Cotten Funeral Home, followed by the funeral service at 2:00 p.m. in the Chapel officiated by his nephew, Rev. Jonathan Whitford. He will be laid to rest at Greenleaf Memorial Park. Sue & family will receive friends at other times at 170 Woods Circle, Riverdale Community, New Bern.

Thank you for all of the prayers, phone calls, and visits, but most of all the love that's been shown to Ronnie and his family in the past two weeks. Please continue to keep us in your prayers now as we must rely on our faith to get us through the days ahead.

Well brother you are no longer in pain or suffering. You will be missed by all who knew you. I have re-lived the memories of all those years when Big John, Dupree and Daddy didn’t know what to do with us. Boy could we find trouble.. lol The 3 amigos are down too 2 here on earth but we will all be together again one day. Tell everyone hello and enjoy that new heavenly body. Love ya Brother!!!!

Well Ronnie, known you for a long time, first met you in Explorers. we all had a great time with those boy scouts. Then we had the pleasure of my mom keeping your 2 beautiful daughters. They were 2 of the best kids. I have miss spending time with you guys over the years. May God bless you, and I love all you guys!

Ron You Are Always in My thoughts and prayers Big Brother (AKA) Your Girl Friend. We have had many good times together with our families, even in sad times we all have pulled together and make love and laughter the most important thing in life and beyond.
