Born in Ogdensburg, NJ, she was the youngest of 11 children.
Rosemary was predeceased by her parents Joseph and Mary Blahut, her husband, Joseph Pakoszdi, daughter Joann Bucher and 9 of her brothers and sisters.
She was a resident of Franklin, NJ and after graduating with her LPN, she eventually moved to River Bend in New Bern, NC in 1988 where she enjoyed the Southern hospitality, warmer climate and made many close friends.
Rosemary was a member of St. Paul Catholic Church, Colonial Capital Humane Society, the Red Hat Society, St. Paul’s Solo group and was a longtime volunteer for Catholic Charities' Pharmacy program.
She is survived by her son, Gary Pakoszdi, of Hopatcong, NJ; daughter Brenda Pakoszdi of Ewing. NJ; her sister Teresa Webb of Sacramento, Ca; her granddaughter Jennifer Pakoszdi of Virginia Beach, VA; several great grandchildren, one great great grandchild; along with several nieces and nephews and her cats Sweetie and Callie, who reside with her daughter.
The family would like to thank the staff of Cherry Point Bay Nursing and Rehab for their compassionate care and attention they provided to their mom.
A memorial mass will be held at a later date.
