Roy Stanley Hawk

Roy attended Carson Newman College in Tennessee and during his studies he was drafted into the Army. He was able to get a deferment until he obtained his Bachelors degree. After graduation he joined the US Navy. During that time he met the love of his life, Kay. After his 6 years in the service he began a long career in Law Enforcement. He retired in 1987 and he and Kay moved to New Bern. Roy loved his family. He enjoyed Civil War history.

He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Kay Hawk, two sons; Doug Hawk and wife, Tam of San Jose, CA and Brian Hawk of Wilmington, NC, and two grandchildren; Kyra and Devon.
