Ruby B Davis

Ruby was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother whose life was defined by her deep faith, love of family, and commitment to serving others. A longtime member of Temple Baptist Church and more recently a member of Bayboro Baptist Church, Ruby's faith was a guiding light throughout her life.

She worked for many years as a loan officer at Branch Banking and Trust, where she was known for her professionalism, kindness, and integrity.

Ruby was preceded in death by her beloved son, Jeffrey Lee Davis, and her sister, Mavis Guthrie and parents Elmer and Edith Boyd.

She is survived by her loving husband of 68 years, Bobby Singleton Davis; her children, Joseph Davis (Megan), Jerry Davis (Angie), and Jacqueline Sue Davis; her daughter-in-law, Cindy Ladd; her brother, Hughes Boyd (Mona); her cherished grandchildren, Brandon Davis, Jessica Bediako (Nkanza), Adam Davis (Jaime), Kasey Davis, Kaitlin Davis (John), Jamie Davis, Olivia Davis, Addison Davis, and Emily Grace Davis; and eight great-grandchildren who brought her great joy.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday, October 21, 2025, at Cotten Funeral Home from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m., with a funeral service to follow at 2:00 p.m. Burial will be held at Greenleaf Memorial Park.
