I am so sorry to hear of Ruth's passing. She and Walt were caring, sweet, friendly people. We lived above their store when we were first married in 1965 and they were so good to us. We've never forgotten their friendship and thoughtfulness.

With deepest sympathy to all the family of Ms. Ruth. I enjoyed knowing Bud and Ruth and were able to share many stories and good times with them while I was at Croatan Village. She will be missed by many and I feel fortunate to have gotten to know them and many of the family. Thinking of you all at this difficult time. Barbara Hibbs Ocala Fl.

A rose once grew where all could see
Sheltered beside a wall,
And as the days passed swiftly by
Its branches spread,straight and tall.

On 2/07/2013 a beam of light shone through
A crevice had opened wide-
The rose bent gently towards its warmth
Then passed to the other side..

Now you who deeply feel its loss
Be comforted..the rose still blooms there-
Its beauty even greater now
Nurtured by God's own loving care.

( To the family Ms Ruth was a joy to know and thank you for letting us take care of her and Mr Bud.)
