

Sam was a native of Haywood County, NC. During his high school years, Sam was drafted in the US Army. He proudly served his country, and Sam was stationed at Fort Ritchie in Maryland. During this time, he was assigned to Site R, also known as the underground Pentagon.
Upon leaving the Army, Sam joined the International Union of Operating Engineers Local 545, where he was a heavy equipment operator and trainer. During his time there, he worked on the Eisenhower Lock of the St. Lawerence Seaway, which he was honored to do. In addition to this task, Sam continued his career by working at Champion International where he retired from the shipping department as an "Old Timer." Sam was of the Baptist faith and enjoyed attending church with his family and visits from his pastor.
Left behind to honor and cherish Sam's life and legacy are his children, Alan Bradley (Laura) of Newport, TN, Curtis Bradley (Xiao Lan) of Canton, NC, Roger Bradley (Sandy) of Forestport, NY, and Kristen Trull (James) of New Bern, NC; grandchildren, Michael, Cody, Mindy, Dillon, Shelby, Kole, Kendall, and Kace; 11 great-grandchildren; brother, Bob "Joe" Bradley (Alice); and many loving family members and close friends.
Sam is preceded in death by his loving wife, Patricia Fish Bradley, and his infant brother.
To honor Sam's request, no services will be held at this time.
