Sarah Frances Andrews

Sarah Francis Avery Andrews, 76, of Bridgeton, went home to be with the Lord on the morning of Wednesday, August 30th, 2017. Affectionately known as "Granny" by many family and friends, she loved everyone, especially children. She worked for 14 years at Sagner Sewing Room and in food service for 26 years at FoodLand, Pak-A-Sak, and Wal-Mart before her retirement. She faithfully attended Saint's Delight O.F.W.B. Church.

She is lovingly survived by her son, Ronnie Lee Andrews (Sue) of Vanceboro; four grandchildren, Melissa Welker (Brad), Megan Andrews, Cody Edwards, and the Rev. Jonathan Whitford; three great grandchildren, Ryan Andrews, Kristin Nikki Welker, and Andrew McCausley; and two sisters, Lillie Harrison and Mae Shirley.

Sadly, she was preceded in death by her husband, Johnny Ray Andrews three children, William Ray Andrews, John Charles "Charlie" Andrews, and Sarah Ann Whitford, and sister, Janie Bowden.

The family will receive friends from 1 to 2 p.m. Friday, September 1st at Cotten Funeral Home, followed by the funeral service at 2 p.m. in the Chapel. She will then be laid to rest at Greenleaf Memorial Park.
