She is preceded in death by her mother Laura Ruth Garris.
Sherry is survived by her significant other Michael Tremblay of Vanceboro, father Gene Garris of Hookerton, brother, Louis Garris (Terri) of Aiken, SC, nieces, Gillian Garris, Ginger Garris, and Gina Garris.
Sherry was a graduate of ECU with a bachelors degree in Music. She was a music therapist at the O'Berry Center in Goldsboro. She had a love for music and animals. Sherry will be truly missed.
A private memorial service will be held at a later date.
