Shirley Johnson Kennedy

She is preceded in death by her son, Jack Johnson, brother, Leslie Wilson, and her faithful companion, Buddy.

Shirley is survived by her daughter, Cynthia Sawyer (Jason) of Cove City, brother, Robert Wilson of Charlotte, sister, Nancy Stiles of Portsmouth, VA, grandchildren, Crystal Sawyer of Bridgeton, Michael Wilson of Cove City, great grandchildren, Nathan, Marley, numerous loving nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.

She attended Faith Freewill Baptist Church. Shirley was a sweet Christian Woman, who loved her family and the Lord. She always had a smile on her face, and a kind word for anyone she met. She will be truly missed.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 pm on Thursday, October 14, 2021 at Cotten Funeral Home. The family will receive friends from 6:00-8:00 pm on Wednesday, October 13, 2021 at Cotten Funeral Home. Burial will be in New Bern Memorial Cemetery.

The family would like to give a special thanks to the Wilson Family and close friends for their love and support in these trying times.
