She served her country in the U.S. Air Force during the Korean Conflict and she retired as a Librarian from Virginia Tech.
She is survived by her sister, Alice S. Rowe of Kenly, NC.
A memorial service will be held at 11:00 am Saturday, September 27, 2014 at Thomas – Yelverton Funeral Home in Wilson, NC. The family will receive friends following the service.
