She was a member of St. Paul Catholic Church where she was the organist for many years. She was also a member of the Eastern Star #348, Power Squadron of Cape Lookout, York Rite Ladies, the Shrinettes and she served on the Board of Directors of Job’s Daughters.
Sophie is survived by two sons, William G. Gadzuk of Bayshore, NY and Walter Gadzuk of Hauppauge, NY; and two grandchildren.
A Funeral Mass will be held Friday, April 27, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Paul Catholic Church. Interment will be in St. Joseph Cemetery. The family will receive friends Thursday, April 26, 2012 at Cotten Funeral Home from 7:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.
