Steven is survived by his wife, Gwyneth Dunker; one daughter, Sarah Dunker; one sister, Diane Roe and one brother, David Dunker.
He was preceded in death by his parents Rev. Carl and Barbara Dunker.
Steven worked at Cherry Point Civil Service as an aerospace engineer. In his spare time he loved to play piano and go scuba diving.
A visitation will be held Friday, November 7, 2025 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM at Cotten Funeral Home, 2201 Neuse Blvd, New Bern, NC 28560. The funeral service will follow at 10:00 AM. A graveside service with military honors will be held Friday, November 7, 2025 at 12:00 PM at Coastal Carolina State Veterans Cemetery, 110 Montford Landing Rd., Jacksonville, NC.
