I was shocked to learn of Sue Jo's passing. We were close friends and colleagues at the ACTION agency which operated all federal government volunteer programs in the early 1970s. We maintained our friendship for many years, but lost touch in the early 2000s. She was a special person, one of a kind, with a wonderful sense of humor and a deep spiritual grounding. I loved her deeply, and will  miss her forever. Rest in peace, darlin'.

Deepest Sympathy to Sue Jo's family! We were in the high school class of 1963, and she was a very talented person. When I returned to New Bern in 1990's, she came to visit one day...she hadn't changed a bit! She will be missed!


I am sorry to hear about the passing of Sue Jo. I was lucky to have had some great class mates and she was certainly one of them. I
truly believe that this is only an act of passage and our loss is just temporary and I look forward to meeting again all the ones we have lost.
