NEW BERN | Susie Raynor Swaringen, 85, of New Bern, passed away Tuesday, February 21, 2017 at CarolinaEast Medical Center.
She attended Calvary Baptist Church and worked at Maola for 30 years.
She is preceded in death by her husband Charles E. Swaringen, Sr., son, Charles (Charlie) E. Swaringen, Jr.
She is survived by her daughters Brenda Sue Avent and Donna Jean McCoy, both of New Bern; brother Ralph Raynor of Cypress, CA; two half-brothers Timothy Wynn Raynor and Anthony Lynn Raynor, both of Pamlico County; one half-sister Sherri Wainright of New Bern; four grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
Funeral service will be 12 noon Saturday, February 25, 2017 at Cotten Funeral Home. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Entombment will follow the service at Greenleaf Memorial Park.
