Talena Sanderson Hawk, beloved wife, mother, sister, nana and friend, went home to be with the Lord on the morning of Monday, August 13th, 2018, much too soon at the age of 45. She was a hard worker who always put others first and will be missed greatly by all who knew and loved her.
She is survived by her husband, Danny Hawk, Jr.; three daughters, Gina Keyes (Lee), Allysia Brown, and Maigan Whaley (Jack); one brother, Jason Sanderson (Erica); and eight grandchildren, Destinee, Dezaray, Charity, TJ, Aydin, Jaiden, Madelynn, and Rylin. Sadly, she was preceded in death by her parents, Thomas Sanderson and Mozelle Blackman Dunn, as well as her sister, Yolanda Dunn.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 7 p.m. Friday, August 17th, 2018 at Cotten Funeral Home, followed by a service in the Chapel at 7 p.m. with the Rev. Dwight Williams officiating.
