A year has come and gone since the passing of a good man. We knew Tom a short while (2 years) but in that time it didn't take long to learn the love he had for his wife and children, the honor and love he had for his parents, and open heart he had for old and new friends. Tom's spirit drew you in, and his passing left a place in your heart that only he could fill. We know that nothing in this life can replace Tom in your lives. Tom's choice would have been to stay here with all of us, but his blessing is to be face to face with Jesus each and every day for eternity. We that believe as Tom did will see him again, and our hope is that through the passing of time God has eased your pain. 
Missing Tom and the love and friendship he shared with all of us.

Tom is still greatly missed. His smile, laughter, and knowledge in his profession can never be replaced.

May you find comfort in your memories and in the knowledge that Tom is at peace. God bless you all.

I worked in the library at Craven Community College. Tom was much appreciated and respected.  He was a very conscientous and nice person.   We were very saddened and heartbroken to learn of Tom's passing. Despite our heartache, we are very thankful that Tom's suffering has ended and he is with Jesus.  Tom was given a very rare gift of extreme courage in the face of immense suffering, and he willingly shared his gift with all of us for the past 17 months.
