To Edie:  I just learned about Tim's passing.   I knew you and Tim in the early nineties when I was at Black's Allstate.  Tim was then to become associated with insurance for a long time. 
My heart aches for your loss.  It is evident from your own words, that you never stopped loving Tim.
Grief is different for everybody and not a set pattern so you grieve your way and take your time.

Dear Timmy,

You and I have said goodbye to each other in so many different ways in our time together, but knowing that this is the last time is breaking my heart. We have shared so many experiences, some very difficult, but so many more that were filled with joy! It is all of those happy memories that I will hold on to and choose to remember you by. We never doubted where we stood with each other. We were always each other's biggest cheerleaders and often each other's voice of reason. There was never a doubt of the bond and love between us, even up until our last conversation the week before you had to leave us. I will be forever thankful to you for giving me the two biggest blessings in my life in Matt and Bailey. They were such precious little boys to both of us and have grown into such fine, good, and strong men just like their father. You were such an amazing dad! Looking into Matt's bright green eyes is like looking into yours and hearing Bailey's funny laugh is just like hearing yours. You will truly live on forever in them both. I promise you as well that our sweet Charli, Harrison, and Bailey's future children will hear many many stories about their "Happy" in the years to come. I promise you that we will keep your memory alive through all of us. I will love you forever and I am so comforted in knowing where you are, who you are with, and that you are finally feeling all the joy that you so deserve. I know without a doubt that God is doing for you up there what we just couldn't do down here. You fought so hard and the battle is finally done. Tim  Jones was a good man. I had the pleasure of coaching with him  for 5 years and it was a real pleasure.
I also worked with him several years as well.
Tim was always willing to help anybody anyway he could.
He was a friend to everyone.
We all need to hold onto all the good times and memories we had with Tim.

I met Tim nearly four years ago, and from that moment on, he looked out for me. He always made sure that I—and those around him—had food to eat. When we began working together, he took the time to teach me how to cook things I didn’t know, listened when I needed someone to talk to, and helped me in any way he could.
Tim was one of the first people to know that I was getting my son back, and he shared in my happiness as though it were his own. He offered guidance whenever I needed it, and even gave me a bed when I moved into my apartment. Tim had a generous spirit and a truly compassionate heart. He loved his family deeply and cared for everyone fortunate enough to know him. Thank you, brother — you will be deeply missed and forever remembered.

So very sorry to hear of Tim’s passing.  I remember Tim when we worked together at the Insurance Center, he would come in my office everyday for a piece of gum and we would chat a few minutes.  He was a great guy.  Condolences to his family.

My sincere condolences go out to his family and friends. Tim was gladiator in the eyes of many of his classmates and friends. I always enjoyed seeing and greeting him at our class reunions. He will be missed and always remembered.

My first thought when Tim’s name is mentioned is baseball. I watched many games played on the Babe Ruth field and in school. My heart goes out to Edie and his family 🙏 I pray for comfort and peace and good memories as we celebrate his life . Our dear friend will be missed.

. My memories of Tim go way back to Babe Ruth baseball in the late 70’s. We were on different teams and always competitive. Later in our professional careers our offices were next door to each other on Hwy 70 and we saw each other on a regular basis.  I look back on those days fondly and the friendship we had.  I’m deeply saddened about his passing and sorry for your loss. May you find strength in Jesus Christ our savior and comfort in your memories.

I worked with Tim many years ago at Fairfield Harbour, and as the story often goes, he moved on, and I stayed. I saw him many years later as he had took a leap of faith and became an Insurance agent (bravo) right down the street from me. When I think of Timmy, I am left with a huge smile on my face and laughter that makes me breathless because that’s how he made one feel. He was always filled with the brightest spirit, which definitely shined through his large grin! He left us with the best gifts a man can bestow:  2 incredible sons, Matt and Bailey, and Edie, his life partner, anchor, and best friend. What a legacy!

Timmy Jones is my Brother, but more than that my Best Friend. We lived apart most of our lives but when we were together it seemed like we lived next door to each other. We always played some type of ballgame, cooked .played cards with our family and won most of the time. We cheated from time to time.I always bragged on my Little Brother, he was very smart in so many ways. I’m thankful he was there to help our Mom and Dad before they passed. You will always be on my Heart and Mind Brother ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

When I was enrolled in Craven County Schools in 1977, Timmy was the first friend I made, and nearly 50 years later I still consider him a friend.  But beyond that, he and Edie are family.  My wife and I are fortunate to have their son Matt as our son-in-law, and he and Lauren have blessed us with Charli and Harrison.  I look at Matt and I see Timmy.  Timmy will forever remain a member of our family.  We will miss him terribly.

It has been almost 47 years. We worked together in tobacco with his relatives the Whaley Family.  Back then we called him Timmy. He loved his family, friends, and everyone around him. So much fun, laughter, and energy he had. His smile was contagious, with a dark tan, and deep see through blue eyes and always meticulous of his hair. During that time, he lived and breathed football like many young men in high school. I inquired of him during the later years with family; however, with separate busy lives I did not contact him.  When I heard he was having concerns, I thought about reaching out but wanted him to have that time to heal. Sadly, to meet again was not to be.  Always with fond memories and sadden heart.
