Tonya Lynn Pickeral-Ridgell

Tonya was born on July 8th, 1973, to the late Joseph Pickeral and Peggy Shirley-Pickeral in the bustling city of La Plata, MD.

Tonya was passionate about helping people and worked 30+ years in the hospitality industry. She always showed up early and brought many smiles along the way. Tonya had a passion for landscaping and many other outdoor activities as well. In her free time, Tonya could always be found on the boat, at the beach, or very close to the water. Tonya was very family-oriented and enjoyed spending time with them whether near or far.

Thankful for her life and continuing in her memory are her beloved husband of 30 years, John “BJ” Ridgell Jr., sons Zachary J. Ridgell, & Quinton E. Ridgell, and her mother, Peggy Elizabeth Shirley-Pickeral.

She is predeceased by her father, Joseph Howard Pickeral, and father-in-law, John “Buddy” Ridgell.

The family will be holding a Celebration of Life Service on Saturday, August 31st, 2024, at the American Legion Post 255 (13390 Point Lookout Rd, Ridge, MD 20680) from 12pm to 4pm.
