Velma Reynolds Barnes, 89, of New Bern died Sunday April 27 at Bayview Nursing Home.

Born April 20, 1925, in Trenton, NC, she was the daughter of the late Paul Reynolds and Emma Loftin Reynolds.

Velma was a charter member of the Cornerstone Assembly of God and was the church’s oldest living member.

She is survived by 3 daughters; Linda Clark, Amber Coley, and Susan Bland (Terry) all of New Bern. 6 grandchildren Mike Clark, Eric Clark, George Coley, Daniel Bland, Avery Bland, Shade Bland. 3 great-grandchildren Brendon Aldridge, Trenton Clark, and Harper Bland.

Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday April 29 at 11am at the Cornerstone Assembly of God. Family will receive friends one hour prior. Burial will follow at Trenton Cemetery, Trenton.

Arrangements by Cotten Funeral Home and Crematory.
