Velma Louise Chadwick

Velma Heath Chadwick, 100, of Havelock, passed away peacefully on November 18, 2025. A cherished member of the community, Velma devoted her life to faith, family, and service. She was a longtime member of the First Baptist Church of Havelock and proudly served with the Eastern Star, where she formed lifelong friendships and touched many lives.

Velma was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Ray William Chadwick; her son, Ray “Billy” Chadwick Jr.; her daughter, Patricia Carpenter; and eight brothers and sisters. Their memories remained close to her heart throughout her long and meaningful life.

She is survived by her sons, James Chadwick and Thomas Chadwick (Connie); her daughter, Jean Czernik; daughter-in-law, Diane Chadwick; and son-in-law, Skip Carpenter. Velma also leaves behind nine grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren, all of whom brought her immense joy and pride.

Family and friends are invited to gather in remembrance from 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, November 22, 2025, at Lakeside Chapel – Greenleaf Memorial Park, followed by a service celebrating Velma’s life at 11:00 a.m.
