Vickie Haithcock Cumbo

A loving, caring person, Vickie never met a stranger and always looked for the good in others. Vickie prayed for everyone she knew and loved. She will be missed by all who knew her.

She leaves behind to cherish her memory, her son, Nicholas Cumbo (Jill) of Pollocksville; sisters, Carol Thomas (Jimmy), Dianne Hirko (John), Linda Povich (Peter), all of New Bern; brother, Mike Haithcock (Rosemary) of Lynchburg, Va.; lifelong friend, Kennon Cumbo; special friends, Jay Fodrie and Cheryl Turner; and many cousins, nieces, and nephews.

The family will receive friends from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. on Monday, January 10, 2022 at Cotten Funeral Home followed by the funeral service beginning at 11 a.m. with Preacher Craig Hearne officiating. Burial will be at Greenleaf Memorial Park.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that memorial contributions be made in Vickie's name to the Brain Trauma Foundation (braintrauma.org/donate).
